Amazing Comic Con Aloha

Friday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 24

Hurricane Lane bumped this cosplay fest from its usual August date. But most of the special guests will make it back in February—including actors Evangeline Lily, Tara Strong and original Power Rangers Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson—along with collectibles, video game tournaments and artist encounters. For the biggest dose of cuteness, stop by Sunday for the kids costume parade.

$25–$85, Hawai‘i Convention Center, 1801 Kalākaua Ave. For more information and to purchase tickets, go here.

Mike Love

Sunday, Feb. 24, 4 to 7 p.m.

For a free poolside concert with one of O‘ahu’s favorite positive-message-based reggae artists, reserve your table for the best seats in the house at Queen Kapi‘olani’s Hotel’s Deck for the Sunday “Sunset Sessions” with Mike Love. The O‘ahu native has been called a progressive-Rastafari artist, infusing jazz and classic rock into his music while utilizing a loop-pedal for a complex sound. Support this talented local artist as well as the Kōkua Hawai‘i Foundation, which promotes environmental education in the Hawai‘i school system at this monthly concert series.

Free, Deck Bar + Grill at Queen Kapi‘olani Hotel, 150 Kapahulu Ave., Third Floor. For more information, go here.
