Ballet Hawaiʻi Presents The Sleeping Beauty
Friday, Aug. 3 to Sunday, Aug. 5
Ballet Hawaiʻi, in association with Kansas City Ballet, brings one of the oldest full-length ballet stories to the Islands. Watch the classic fairytale come to life with a cast of international artists and music from Peter Tchaikovsky. Keep an eye out for other fairytale characters, too, such as Little Red Riding Hood and Puss in Boots.

The Traveling Plate Oʻahu
Thursday, Aug. 2, 6:30 to 9 p.m.
As part of a statewide culinary tour supporting Easterseals Hawaiʻi, Herringbone Waikīkī is throwing a flavorful sundown shindig on its Garden Lānai. Join executive chef “Ray Ray” Locquiao and chef Gary Tamashiro as they prepare signature dishes that include Buffalo octopus, oysters on the half shell and California avocado toast. Dave Power, former bartender of Ed Kenney’s Town restaurant in Kaimukī, will also be joining the duo as a featured mixologist. Start the weekend early with signature cocktails, beer and wine. Purchase a VIP ticket for early entry, a chef meet-and-greet and additional bites such as Alaskan king crab, whole lobster and ʻahi poke flatbread.
