What’s Open and Closed in Honolulu for Labor Day 2015

Here is a list of city services that will be available or suspended in observance of Labor Day on Sept. 7, 2015.

The Waimānalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill will remain open on Labor Day.

Services Closed

• City and County of Honolulu government offices

• All Satellite City Halls and Driver’s License offices

• Neal S. Blaisdell Box office

• The People’s Open Markets 

Services Open/Available

• Emergency ambulance, fire, lifeguard and police services

• TheBus will operate on a Sunday schedule

• City parks

• Municipal golf courses

• Botanical gardens

• The Honolulu Zoo

• H-Power

• Waimānalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill

• Transfer stations

• Refuse will be collected

Traffic

• On-street parking will be free, except for metered parking lots and meters on Kalākaua Avenue along Queen Kapi‘olani Park.

• Traffic lanes will not be coned for contraflow.
