Art in the Dark
What: What comes out in Hawaii when the sun goes down? Local photographer and artist John Hook has been documenting all of it, and it goes on view to the public this weekend at a new exhibit in Waikiki. Besides the striking photographs, drinks and light pupu, organizers are planning a one-night-only pop-up installation room with a somewhat-secret display. The only hints: it’s part performance space, part interactive display.
When: Friday, 7-11:30 p.m.
Where: Gallery of Hawaii Artists, 1888 Kalakaua Ave., Ste #C312
Details:Check out Hook's preview video here. The installation room is only for those over 18. RSVP as soon as possible to 808.447.8908 or info@galleryofhawaiiartists.com.
