Murphy’s Bar & Grill

Hawaii’s biggest open-air block party kicks off at noon on St. Patty’s Day at Murphy’s Bar & Grill.

Once the sun goes down, Murph closes down Merchant St. and Nuuanu Ave from King Street down to Nimitz and transforms that area into a mass of green and good times. The party goes through midnight and offers up all of the specially themed brew and beverages along with delicious St. Patty’s Day Pub Grub. Find all of the traditional eats – Fish n’ Chips, Irish Stew, Blarney Burgers, and the requisite Corned Beef and Cabbage. And in keeping in Murphy’s own tradition, for every pound of corned beef that’s sold, $2 will be donated to the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation.

This year will also feature the Guiness Oyster Bar boasting hundreds for fresh shucked Oysters, Steamed Clams, Sauteed Shrimp and Oyster Shooters. And for dessert, enjoy Mrs. Murphy’s homemade Irish Whiskey Cake and the traditional Bread Pudding with whiskey sauce.
