To celebrate the New Year, a number of Hale ‘Aina Award-winning restaurants have special celebrations and menus planned for both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Welcome 2010 with the remarkable cuisine of chef Jon Matsubara at Azure Restaurant. The restaurant and hotel host a huge celebration and have two exciting opportunities to put a nice decadent end to 2009, welcoming 2010 in delectible style.
Executive Chef Jon Matsubara has created a special menu for New Year’s Eve, proudly presenting an exceptional five-course dinner including appetizers, a choice of entree and desserts. This dinner is offered on December 31 and seating will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. (last seating is at 9 p.m.).

Celebrate an unforgettable New Year’s Eve with your closest friends in a private beachfront cabana of the Royal Beach Club and the remarkable five-course dinner by Executive Chef Jon Matsubara of Azure Restaurant. This extraordinary occasion is available for a cabana rental fee of $500 plus $150 per person for the five-course dinner.
Seating at Royal Beach Club cabanas begin at 8:30 p.m. that allows exclusive use for the remainder of the evening until 1 a.m. Cabanas include a bottle of Louis Roederer “Cristal” Champagne and entry to the NYE@TRH celebration at Mai Tai Bar and Ocean Lawn. These exclusive Royal Beach Club cabanas are in limited supply and reservations are required.

On New Year’s Eve, Plumeria Beach House has a special dinner buffet from 5:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Enjoy live entertainment: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Hawaiian music; 9 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Son Caribe Band. The New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet is available for $80 per person and includes a glass of Taittinger Champagne for adults.
On New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1st, Plumeria Beach House hosts both a brunch and dinner buffet.
The Brunch Buffet takes place from11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and includes ozoni and ochasuke action stations
The Dinner Buffet takes place from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. and also will feature ozoni and ochasuke action stations.

Then early New Year’s morning, from 5:30 – 11 a.m., the Veranda will host a special Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar. Choose between 20 different premium vodkas, gins and tequilas and over 30 ingredients to create your own perfect Bloody Mary or try one of our hand-crafted ultra-premium Bloody Marys from a master mixologists!
If Bloody Marys aren’t for you, you can choose between 10 different sparkling wines and champagnes and a selection of local hand squeezed organic juices and mixes to create the ultimate Mimosa!

Ring in the New Year at VINO! New Year’s Eve . Starting at 9 p.m., VINO will host a tasting of 5 wines –2 ounces each. The list includes a few of VINO’s favorite producers & vineyards.
Following the tasting, VINO will have a dinner by chef Keith Endo. The menu will be free and Keith will just create whatever he wants, so take a leap of faith and trust in this Hale ‘Aina Award-winning chef. It is a way to get some good food in your stomach after the tasting & before you head out.

The Willows has announced their New Years holiday menu special. New Years Eve and New Years Day at the restaurant will feature a delicious line-up from chef Jay Matsukawa.
The menu will include a variety of Hawaiian/ American favorites such as a chilled seafood station with Kim Chee Tako Poke, Island Style Ahi Poke and King & Snow Crab Legs. A carving station will include Rosemary crusted Prime Rib and a Herb Spiced Rack of Lamb with Mint Infused Demi-Glace.
This special menu will also include many holiday favorites such as Apple Bacon & Corn Chowder, Herb Crusted Roast Turkey, Misoyaki Butterfish, Peppered Roast Pork with Caramelized Onion Jus, and a Crab Crusted Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce.
A variety of desserts that includes Pumpkin Pie, Red Velvet Cake, Custard Pie, Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding, Strawberry Cheesecake and a Creamy Eggnog Panna Cotta will also be available.
