 Hale Aina Award-winning restaurant, Hoku’s at the Kahala Hotel and Resort, has introduced a new special for diners on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through June. The midweek "Mixed Plate" special at Hoku’s includes a choice of two different favorite entrees served with fried rice and wok-fried vegetables. There are eleven different entrees to choose from.
 

Diners can select any two from the following Hoku’s menu favorites:

Chinese house roast duck
Braised beef short ribs
Salt crusted Colorado rack of lamb
Braised kurobuta pork
Maui chip crusted chicken
Pacific catch of the day
Sous vide Atlantic salmon
Imperial wok fried jumbo prawn
Lobster "Thermador"
Wok fried fresh fish
Vegetable curry

This special deal is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights through June 25 for $28 per person. For reservations, call 739-8760.

The Kahala Hotel & Resort has also announced its dates for its Kahala Food & Wine Classic this March and June, showcasing the cuisines of Italy and New Orleans. These two-day intimate dining experiences will feature gala dinners, cooking classes, wine tastings, and cigar seminars.

On March 13 and 14, The Kahala takes you to Italy with Mia and Franco d’Alessio of Ristorante Aurora. Owners of one of the oldest restaurants on Capri, the D’Alessio family has promoted the culinary traditions of the island for more than a century, combining the finest local ingredients with innate artistic creativity that delight and surprise the tastebuds. Ristorante Aurora’s signature cuisine includes full-flavored pastas like spaghetti alle vongole, perfectly grilled shellfish and fish from local waters.

In June the Classic will kick it up a notch with Chef Emeril Lagasse. Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse brings his energetic cooking style and "New New Orleans" cuisine to The Kahala June 12 and 13. Star of the hit Food Network shows Emeril Live and Essence of Emeril, Emeril is a James Beard Award winner and owner of 10 restaurants in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, and Gulfport.
