In observance of the 125th anniversary of the overthrow of Hawai‘i’s last monarch, Queen Lili‘uokalani, Hawai‘i’s people held a march, rally, speeches, live music and hula on Jan. 17, 2018 at the state capitol and ‘Iolani Palace.
Kupu hosted its 10th annual MLK Service Day at Maunalua Bay on Monday, Jan. 15. Volunteers helped Kupu, Mālama Maunalua and Pono Pacific restore the marine environment by removing invasive algae from the nearshore waters.
This year’s Sony Open in Hawai‘i kicked off with a pro-am tournament at the Wai‘alae Country Club on Wednesday, Jan. 10. The celebrity lineup included Jumanji’s Nick Jonas, Baywatch’s Kelly Rohrbach and 2017 Sony Open champion Justin Thomas.
