Some like to go out with a bang (I mean, did you see Alex Bilodeau's freestyle mogul run in the Sochi Olympics?). But this month’s Night Market comes back, after two months of beauty rest, with a POW!

Right now, artists from all over the world are in Kakaako painting over last year's murals as part of POW! WOW! Hawaii. Though it’s hard to say goodbye to our favorite anatomical shark, we can't wait to see the neighborhood all fancied up at its coming-out party—not to mention the anticipated return of A Pinch of Salt for local, discounted treasures, a fashion show, art for sale, live entertainment and Street Grindz's food vendors, all sure to impress.

After all, art is universal.

Lei Chic's featured designer this month is machinemachine. Kauai fashion designer Shannon Hiramoto comes to Honolulu with her maxi and mini dresses, skirts, shorts and many other pieces for one night only, with special discounts for Lei Chic readers. Click here for details.
