ince 1968, Kaimukī Christian School (KCS) has prepared students for life and success, guiding students from preschool through 12th grade in a nurturing environment that integrates a biblical worldview into its educational program. Dedicated teachers and staff partner with parents and families, cultivating lifelong relationships to encourage students to make the most of their educational, social and spiritual opportunities. KCS is indeed an ‘ohana in the most meaningful sense of the word.
KCS develops self-directed learners, critical thinkers, effective communicators and active community participants. Its stimulating program for 2-year-olds encourages free play and creative expression through interactive experiences in a safe environment. Students learn to love school at an early age. Intimate class sizes ensure individualized attention and inspires students to flourish and meet their God-intended potential.
KCS fosters academic excellence and Christian values, including the unique $5,000 annual KND Fruit of the Spirit Award that recognizes and rewards exemplary high school students who are genuinely kind and compassionate individuals. Service to others is a theme throughout the KCS high school experience, and students regularly reflect on how they can use their God-given gifts and skills to impact their communities.
Through KCS’ service-learning programs, students travel to the Big Island, Washington, D.C., and Asia. Upperclassmen have the option to enroll in Kapi‘olani Community College’s Early Admissions Program. Along with a flourishing music program and student-led worship team, other highlights include art education, physical education and Mandarin Chinese. Extracurricular activities include athletics, chess and math clubs.
