On May 25, the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts held its 35th annual Na Hoku Hanohano Awards at the Hawaii Convention Center.

On May 24, the Shidler College of Business Alumni Association, Manoa Campus, and the Young Lawyers Divison of the Hawaii State Bar Association hosted a networking mixer for professionals at Vice Nightclub.

The Standard launched it's new name, The M, with a party that included award-winning producer and DJ, Diplo.

At this year's Shop for Higher Education Awards, Foodland granted nearly 100 Hawaii high school seniors college scholarships. Since the program began in 2006, more than 600 scholarships have been awarded to college-bound seniors, totaling more than $1.2 million.
