9 New Stores to Open in Hawai‘i for the First Time

Ala Moana Center is renovating and, as part of that expansion, it’s going to be welcoming 18 merchants to the new ‘ewa wing in late 2015.

Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Ninja Sushi and Kay Jewelers are among the 18 retailers that’ll open near the new Bloomingdale’s department store. We’re pumped that nine retailers will be opening in Hawai‘i for the first time! Here’s the full list of new-to-Hawai‘i stores you’ll be able to shop at in a few months, counting down to the most-anticipated:

This lingerie store opened its first boutique in Soho, London in 1884, as a playful and more provocative version of Victoria’s Secret. Check out this sexy Varla cover-up Beyoncé wore recently while vacationing in Hawai‘i.

Finally, a store dedicated to grooming. If only this store would open in time for Father’s Day.

7. The D Shop — Desigual

If you love wearing black, Desigual is not the fashion brand for you. This Barcelona-based fashion brand is known for its bold and distinctive clothes, bags and shoes designed from the colors of the rainbow.

6. Ted Baker London

This British luxury clothing retail company is famous for bold patterns and colors. Fresh colors and vibrant patterns are trending!

5. Laline

You’ll feel good about pampering yourself with aromatic bath and body care, because Laline’s products are cruelty-free.

4. David Yurman

Celebrities love wearing David Yurman’s jewelry line. Leonardo DiCaprio showed off braided-knot shirt studs. Tina Fey wore a white-diamond bangle bracelet and black onyx cable-wrap earrings. Oprah Winfrey donned a Starburst ring with diamonds. The list goes on.

3. Magnolia Bakery

If you’ve watched Sex and the City, you’re familiar with Magnolia Bakery. We can’t wait to get our hands on the same delicious, rich, buttery goodness that Carrie and Miranda devoured on the show. The new Ala Moana location will serve egg skillets, pancakes and sandwiches, too.

2. Nitrogenie

Nitrogenie makes ice cream from liquid nitrogen. It’s called “ice cream from magic.” Expect flavors like White Balsamic Strawberries, Chocolate Mudd Mess and Pavlova Pash.

1. Zara

When our style editors first learned Zara was coming to town, they screamed with joy. In our story “13 Mainland Chains We Really Wish We Had in Hawai‘i,” we complained about how we really wished Zara would come to town. Six months later, it’s happening. Score!
