What: Our favorite East Side stop for stylish finds, Mikinola, is hosting the latest Arts and Flavors of Hawai‘i shopping event this weekend, and you’ll be able to score chic fashion and accessories from local designers including Pure Joy Hawai‘i, Cassandra Rull, Vermilli Hawai‘i and Komakai Jewelry. There will also be gourmet ice cream sandwiches by Pinwheel Hawai‘i. If that’s not enough of a reason to head down, Mikinola is also offering 15 percent off the entire store, and those who make a purchase from Mikinola and any one of the featured local designers will score gourmet chocolate favors by Choco le‘a. Pretty tasty, right?

Feeling Blue
What: Even if blue isn’t the warmest color, it’s definitely one of our favorites for summer, especially when it’s washed, boho indigo. That’s why we’re going to head over to Chai Studio in Ward Village Shops for the store’s indigo dye basics workshop. Sip Champagne while you create a unique, indigo-dyed scarf through the Japanese art of shibori textile wrapping, so you’ll have a stylish accessory to take home at the end of the day.

What: Luxe lovers, get your stilettoes in gear. The Giorgio Armani and Armani Collezioni Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus is happening this weekend, with the fall 2015 collection finally up for ogling as models strut their stuff in the new threads. Trust us, it will be as pretty as a picture: The collection was inspired by the vibrant color palette and brushstrokes in Marc Chagall paintings. There will be light Italian-inspired refreshments to enjoy while you scope out the goods.

What: Us shopping-obsessed piggies can’t get enough of markets, so we’re stoked to hear about Art and Flea’s latest event, Sunday Funday Market at Ward Warehouse, which will be happening for the next three months. The day market will land on every second Sunday of the month from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and will feature local vendors, food trucks and entertainment. This week, you’ll find belly rings by Simply Kai, trucker hats by Paula Beltz Creations, tees by Avant Pop Hawai‘i and juice from Nalo Juice.
