5th Annual Moiliili Summer Fest


Thousands filled the Varsity Building parking lot to welcome obon season of with open arms and mouths happily full of oishii andagi, yakitori and musubi. The colorful event, presented by Moiliili Hongwanji Mission and Kamehameha Schools, is Honolulu’s largest bon dance and attracts thousands to eat, dance and shop. The air was filled with the scent of frying dough, the beat of taiko drums and the joy of young and old who came to honor the spirits of their ancestors.
