Premium Tochigi Wagyu Special

Tochigi Prefecture presents a special opportunity to taste their Premium Tochigi Wagyu Beef.

Kaiwa Restaurant in the Waikiki Beachwalk will have this premium wagyu beef selection on their menu only for a limited time from March 5th to the 31st.

What is Tochigi Wagyu?

Tochigi Wagyu is a high quality and famous Japanese beef brand. The beef is derived from black Japanese cows that have clear lineage and are only raised by a few designated commercial farmers in Japan.

Tochigi Wagyu is amazingly marbled, tender and delicate. It passes strict rating tests and has been honored with more than an A/B 4 rating of beef cattle.

On October 30, 2009, Tochigi Wagyu won one of the most prestigious awards in its category, taking the first honor prize in the Japan Beef Cattle Contest, presented by the Tokyo Beef Cattle Association.

The exporting of Tochigi Wagyu from Japan to the United States began in May of 2007, and was heavily promoted through a variety of events across Los Angeles to New York. It has earned high praise from the many customers, guests and chefs who have had a chance to experience the brand.

This is an opportunity for you to join in that growing experience and enjoy the satisfying taste of Premium Tochigi Wagyu!

For reservations at Kaiwa Restaurant, call 808-924-1555.

DINING AT AZURE

The Royal Hawaiian presents Azure – a world-class restaurant perched along the Waikiki beachfront under the canopy of hotel’s dramatic architecture. The bejeweled oceanfront space is adorned with intimate candles, plush banquettes, and pillows – creating an ambience of exquisite relaxation.

Chef de Cuisine Jon Matsubara has crafted a menu where fish and the freshest fruits de mer are the restaurant’s forte. Whether it is ahi, opah, onaga, uku, or moi that whets your appetite – locally caught fish are selected each morning at daybreak from the Hawaii fish auction and then prepared with your pleasure in mind. Choose between a classic preparation of high heat aromatic herb roasting or an innovative Hawaiian regional cuisine preparation served with bright tropical flavors. Expert servers and sommeliers provide intuitive recommendations for perfect wine pairing to accent the delicate flavors of the ocean.
