St. Patrick School provides a quality Catholic education incorporating faith and values with challenging academics to build moral character and leadership. Dedicated teachers in small classes encourage children to learn through the power of their own special talents. Drawing on their own view of Jesus to discover how Catholic values influence life choices, students are challenged to collaborate, communicate and think critically to better the world.
Offering 21st century learning skills and tools, the 3-year old to 8th grade school’s Oceanic Fiber Optic Wi-Fi System fosters opportunities for students to thrive innovatively and to think globally with worldwide access through the Internet. E-textbooks are used in classes, and students in grades 4-8 can work on their own computers.
Broadening the basic curriculum are electives such as Web Design, Tech Safety & Your Health, Team Sports, Strength and Agility, World Languages (Rosetta Stone), Clay Sculpture, Intro to Animation, Music Composition, and Theatre Performance. Professional development workshops enable teachers and staff to incorporate technology in classroom Common Core Standards. Advanced online assessment tools used include Accelerated Reader, Star Reading and Star Math.
As a fully functional Google Apps for Education School, St. Patrick’s successful pilot program last year using Google Chromebooks is now being expanded with additional classes.
