From the moment children are greeted by name as they enter St. Clement’s School until day’s end, they are immersed in activity—planned and spontaneous—full of laughter, stories, art, music, games, projects, friends and fun. Theirs is a world of wonder and discovery. The experiences for young children at St. Clement’s School stimulate their eager minds and bodies to build confident, creative learners.
Experienced faculty and staff provide an accessible and safe learning environment, guiding students through rigorous, age-appropriate curriculum that builds skills through experience and encourages strong relationships. Three-year-olds examine textures and natural elements: soft, hard, squishy, sand, ice, paint, and soil; four-year-olds research and explore mythological characters and cave-dwellers; kindergarteners discover the value of coins and paper money and the purpose of banking in a community. Engaged by curiosity, armed with language, numbers, science and loving teachers, children are excited by learning.
St. Clement’s, rooted in the Episcopal faith, welcomes children from all backgrounds and embraces religious and ethnic diversity. Respect and love for others are integral to its mission. Located in Makiki, SCS accepts 3-and 4-year-old children for pre-school and kindergarten programs. The school is accredited by NAEYC and is a member of HAIS and NAES.
Tours available by appointment October - April. For information and/or application, please contact us.

Sr. Joan of Arc Souza, Principal
At Saint Francis School, we focus on educating the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. We believe that the best way to prepare young people for success in today’s rapidly changing world is by giving them a solid grounding in academics, athletics and Christian ethics. We are committed to supporting boys and girls, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, as they become spiritual, inquisitive, joyful and globally aware citizens.
Located in the heart of picturesque Manoa Valley, Saint Francis School draws on the inspiration of Saint Marianne Cope as we teach our students to open their hearts in accepting others. Every child at Saint Francis is seen as unique and capable of learning in our safe, friendly and academically challenging school environment.
