Fit For A Goddess

www.leichic.com Sometimes a spectacular meal is the fastest way to a man’s heart, and after moving from New York to the Big Island, Marissa Price and her husband ate many memorable ones before their marriage unraveled.

But there was one meal that marked the moment Paul started eating his way into Marissa’s heart again. You’ll have to read Big Island author Mia King’s new novel “Sweet Things” to find out more, but you can try one of the meal’s tasty ingredients now with this  recipe.

Forest Green Goddess Dressing
Yields 1 ½ cups

¼ cup raw tahini
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup canola oil
¼ cup chopped green onion (bottoms and stems)
½ cup green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon honey (optional)

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth

2. Chill for 1 to 2 hours, shake and serve

Try more recipes in the back of King’s novel, or finish off this savory treat with something sweet by entering her contest for a huge gift basket of Big Island Candies goodies.

You can also sample this dressing on the Big Island at artist Ira Ono’s Volcano Garden Arts Cafe 19-3834 Old Volcano Road, Volcano. 808.985.8979
