What a Relief
What: Two tasty events are raising money for Typhoon Haiyan relief. Up first, dozens of eateries and local businesses team up for Chefs of Hope (the impressive lineup includes Chef Chai, Alan Wong's, d.k Steakhouse, Mariposa, Morimoto, Roy's and Side Street Inn). The following night, Hy's Steak House hosts a three-course dinner with Filipino-inspired dishes created by Executive Chef Erwin Manzano, including adobo bone-in short rib and halo-halo.

What: Start picking out your favorites from the upcoming, limited-edition Banana Republic L'Wren Scott Collection. The lookbook, released this week, is brimming with glamorous, holiday-appropriate essentials: lace sheath dresses, brocade cigarette pants and sequined cardigans.

What: Learn how to make your own glass ornament at Island Glassworks. Each one-hour workshop starts with safety basics and an introduction to furnace work and ends with a unique additon to your holiday tree. Note: The glass gets really hot, so you'll need to wait 24 hours to pick up your creation.
