Not Too Sweet, Not Too Salty
What: This is your last chance to watch Hawaii's original rap artist in action. The hour-long special on the comedy of Kawika "Rap" Reiplinger reairs Thanksgiving night.
When: Thursday, 7 - 8 p.m.
Where: KGMB, Channel 7 on cable.
What: Finish off your holiday meal with a simple (no baking required) and delish dessert from your favorite bakers at Fairycakes .
Pistachio Pudding Cups
Yield: 12 servings
Prep Time: 30 - 35 minutes.
1 loaf pound cake
2 packets of pistachio pudding
4 cups milk
1 pint whipping cream+1/4 cup sugar+1 tsp. vanilla extract OR 1 tub Cool Whip
1 1/2 cups candied nuts (walnuts/pecans)
12 parfait glasses (8 oz)
If using whipping cream, whip with 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla extract until it forms stiff peaks. Chop nuts and put aside Cut pound cake into one-inch cubes. Mix milk and pudding together.
In the cups, layer pudding, cake, whipped cream/Cool Whip. Repeat. Sprinkle with chopped nuts Chill for at least 15 minute then serve and enjoy!
