These days, closet swaps are the new shopping sprees. Turning 30 is the new 21.
And Tuesday is the new Friday — at least if you’re judging by all the bars and restaurants that have special pricing all night tonight. Here’s where we’ll be getting the weekend started, three days early:
Head over to this classy Chinatown restaurant, just a few steps makai of Indigo, anytime after 4:30 for $4 Epic mojitos, appetizers from just $3 and lots of full-size entrees starting at $10.
Epic, 1131 Nu‘uanu Ave., 808.587.7877.
Everything is $5 all night, including martinis, cocktails, and appetizers. Beers are $4, except PBR, which is only $3. Get there early and you can commandeer one of the cushy sofas before the 9 p.m. rush.
Apartm3nt, third floor, Century Center (corner of Kalakaua and Kapi‘olani), 808.955.9300.
Wine Encore Tuesdays mean wines by the glass are half off all night – so you can order a second glass! If you’ve got your gang in tow, there are 75 selected bottles that are half off too (in case you’re a two-bottle crowd).
Stage Restaurant, Honolulu Design Center, second floor, 1250 Kapi‘olani Blvd., 808.237.5429.
Tuesday Night Social Club means happy hour lasts all night, with $3 well cocktails and domestic beers, $4 imported beers, $5 martinis, and $5 appetizers. Plus it’s free to get in no matter what time you arrive.
Pearl Ultralounge, Ho‘okipa Terrace, Ala Moana Center, 808.944.8000.
Sure, it’s not a hipster hangout, but on its namesake day, Ruby Tuesday’s prices are low enough that it doesn’t matter that the cool quotient isn’t so high. Chow down on $3.99 queso dip and $5.99 fire wings, and wash it all back with a $2.50 Coors Light or $3.50 Blue Moon, plus $1 off all draft beers and house wines.
Ruby Tuesday, locations at Ala Moana Center, Moanalua Center, Windward Mall, and 95-1249 Mehe‘ula Pkwy., Mililani.
