Small Talk

www.leichic.com
Big isn’t always better. Not when it comes to jeans or bar tabs, and certainly not when it comes to swimwear.

Turns out, an itsy-bitsy boutique is just the place to buy that teeny-weeny bikini. So head over to the cozy little Hula-La shop at the Royal Hawaiian hotel that the Kailua-based swimwear label opened just last week.

It stocks all of designer Erika Ireland’s bikinis -- including the styles worn by Britney Spears and seen in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. Pick out a cover up to go with your frilly pink floral suit or graphic Asian-inspired print – there are tunics, boy shorts and beach pants in Hula-la’s signature crochet fabric. Pull it all together in the cute little corner fitting room – dressed up to look like a perfect pink-and-white beach cabana.

It’s everything you need for the beach or pool, all in a space the size of a large bedroom.

We always knew good things came in small packages.

Hula-la boutique, inside the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, 808.931.7097, open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. See the whole collection online at www.hulagirlswim.com.
