More than 10 local boutiques and designers are taking part in Soiree a la Mode, where you can snap up gifts from Katrina Cordova jewelry, Maui beauty product line Pala‘au, Makana Mother and Baby, Kona boutique Eden, and lots more. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Beauty Queens
What: The documentary film “Beauty: In the Eyes of the Beheld” shows the blessings and the curses of being a beautiful girl, through the eyes of several real women. The screening is part of the Girl Fest Hawai‘i Film Festival.

Music that Grows on You
What: Listen to original music from L.Records, a North Shore solar/wind powered production studio. Dance all night, and take home a biodegradable download card that when planted grows into an array of wildflowers.
