Two Days Only - Fashionably Wait
There’s a black out in your closet – basic black dresses, skirts, pants, and a sad collection of dark blouses and shirts.
The fact is, you lost power in your everyday wear when you started buying on a budget. You just don’t get a buzz out of sifting through mass produced sales racks.
Luckily, the Lei Chic Mercedes Benz Boutique will recharge your wardrobe with exclusive discounts from six local designers. Here’s a look at what they will be offering.
Allison Izu Denim
There’s a wealth of reasons why the search for the perfect pair of jeans leaves us blue. In short – most are just way too long. Here’s good news – your DFF (denim friend forever) Allison Izu is back after taking a break for her gorgeous baby girl. She arrives at the pop-up boutique with discounts on her brand new line (including a dark wash with a sheen that’s uber chic) and bargain prices on her classics.
The Deal – 20 percent off presales of her new pieces. Past designs of jeans will go for $69, $49 for shorts and if you spend $98 you'll also receive the 20 percent off discount.
They just launched in June and already Nuinani has raised enough money from sales of their organic tops to feed 2,600 families. It’s easy to feel good about the cause when you’re wearing one of their comfy bamboo tees or plush recycled polyester hoodies. Right now, brothers Adam and Ben Worrel are working on four new designs including a slouchy pullover, color-block hoodie, and their first long-sleeve shirt to debut this weekend.
The Deal - 20 percent off all Nuinani apparel including presales for their new fall line coming out next month.
Life isn’t always a breeze but you don’t have to tell your wardrobe that. Jodi Salmonson’s entire line is done in don’t-need-to-iron (all our life we’ve dreamed of someone saying that to us) silk chiffons and bamboo jersey. Her pieces, including her tiered tops and dresses, can mix and match for 20 plus looks so you have just what you need for those weekend trips to Monaco or just down to Waikiki. Watch for her silk-print, kimono-style tunic making its debut in the boutique.
The Deal - All Martinique Resort wear will sell for wholesale prices, meaning savings of up to 50 percent.
Sometimes you just want to shake your serious side with clothes that make you feel like a student again. (Okay, maybe a college graduate) Recent UH-Manoa grad Cassandra Rull mixes colors, prints, and patterns for playful, sexy looks you'll want to wear to the beach then to the clubs. She’s created a line just for us packed with vibrant flowy tops, two-tone dresses and her famed cheeky shorts. Even just looking at the pictures (taken by friend and Roam co-owner Brooke Dombrowski) make us happy.
The Deal - 20 percent off her ponchos (seen on the left) and selected items.
Finding the right 9-to-5 look can be tough when you’re stuck between "business-like" pinstriped minis in the juniors department and your mom's aloha wear. That’s why Lynn Sakutori, who designs major department store lines Lauryn M. and Lauryn M. Petites, created Satori Designs. She pushed up production of her new line so you can be the first to snag work-ready separates such as slim-cut crop pants with a leg-flattering tulip hem or a rich purple tunic with shirred shoulders and an asymmetric hem.
The Deal - 10 percent off her new collection (making its debut in our boutique), 20 percent off past collections, and a huge blow out on her silk dresses which will all go for $40.
If you’re going from work to cocktails, Deena White Tearney has just the right dress for every transition. She’s just redone her popular LBM, Little Black Muumuu (left) in an easy-to-care-for cotton stretch blend. Check out her new Waterfalls dress (right) with a vivid silk chiffon accent, her playful drawstring shorts in jewel tone prints, or scoop up her new for the boutique silk kimono fabric bows and headbands and her “From Hawaii with Love” logo tee.
The Deal - 20 percent off everything including sales merchandise.
The Lei Chic Mercedes Benz Pop Up Boutique is Friday, 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Mercedes Benz Honolulu Showroom at 818 Kapiolani Blvd.
