The top three entries in your Camp Erdman Memory Book: that foot-long (swear!) centipede on your pillow. Little Peter Smith’s tongue so far down your throat you wanted to yak. And being forced to sing He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands — again.
Forget buggy, dirty, boy camp, and think private ocean-view rooms, maid service, morning surf sessions, afternoon yoga, and before-dinner spa treatments. That’s what waits at Kelea Surf Spa, a women’s surf camp on the North Shore aimed at challenging your body mind and spirit, and replenishing them too.
Kelea specializes in building confidence and skills in first-timers and pushing advanced surfers to the next level. Beginners learn side by side with an instructor until standing up on the first slow, rolling wave, and experienced surfers head to more challenging breaks, improving wave selection, turning, and speed through video feedback coaching.
You choose when and if you’ll join daily planned activities, and whether massage, facials, body scrubs or waxing cures what ails you. Your only worry will be scoring a sought-after spot in the just-added extra session April 27 - May 3.
So forget the world.
Go grab that wave with both hands.
