Near Bliss

www.leichic.com

There was that one day you tried to have it all. But calling in “sick” to work, the sunrise-to-sunset beach session, and eating everything on the dessert tray only resulted in a reprimand, a mean sunburn, and extra thigh weight, which was a lesson in itself.

You’ll be more successful with the completely legal nine-hour “Have it All” pamper marathon at Ho‘onani Spa, starring the most indulgent of their 80-plus salon and spa treatments.

The decadence begins with an exfoliating spa manicure and soothing paraffin wax treatment, with an aromatic peppermint pedicure and hot-stone foot massage on its heels. Then a 1½-hour pampering facial will deeply cleanse, exfoliate, o-zone steam, and hydrate your skin.

Wait! There’s more (including lunch). Another 1½ hours float by during your choice of massage—maybe lomi lomi, perhaps deep tissue—and in another 1½ hour extravagance your body is scrubbed to a velvety glow, perhaps with ginger or maybe salt & kukui nut oil. Though all things must come to an end, this won’t before a deep-sea scalp treatment, haircut, style and blow-dry.

If nine hours is too much even for you, try a six-hour Queen-for-a-Day session (only your hair will miss out).

Either way, wanting more after this day might just be criminal.
