On Cloud Nine

What: We were super bummed when Mu‘umu‘u Heaven closed shop earlier this year. That’s why we were extra excited to hear about the team’s new pop-up at T Galleria, which opened last week. Visit the beautiful beach-house set-up on the first floor of the Galleria until the end of spring to get your vintage and upcycled fashion fix. Some cute items you’ll find include Hawaiian print clutches, patchwork dresses, retro dishware and cute denim cutoffs.
When: The exhibit runs through the end of June.
Where: T Galleria Hawaiʻi by DFS, 330 Royal Hawaiian Ave.
Details: Call (808) 931-2700 for more information.

Take Note

What: We’re always scrambling for a scrap of paper to jot notes down on. Give yourself something nicer—and more personal!—to scribble on. At Chai Studio’s latest workshop, artist Linda Strong will guide you through paper selection and the binding process to make your own notebooks. You’ll also be able to choose from the Chai Studio selection of wood block stamps to give your notebook a pretty, rustic flair.
When: Sunday, April 18 at 11 a.m.
Where: Chai Studio, Ward Village
Details: $30, reserve your spot at chai-studio.com.

Up at Dawn

What: We really missed Honolulu Night Market last month. We forgive them, though, because this month looks like it’s going to be one for the history books. Local boutique fave Homecoming will be selling hot brands such as Jeffrey Campbell and Wonderland HNL. Oopsy Daze and Of One Sea will also be there with chic kids’ clothes, while CHIEF will set the runway on fire with fellow clothing line Love at Dawn. And of course you’ll find more than enough food options to satisfy your cravings, including The Pig and The Lady, Wow Wow Lemonade and Primo Popcorn.
When: Saturday, April 18, 6–11 p.m. Fashion show at 8 p.m.
Where: 449 Cooke St.
Details: Visit honolulunightmarket.com for more vendor information.

Shop

Keep Mum

What: Mother’s Day is fast approaching. Time to figure out what mom wants. Beauty products? Shopping? Food? All of the above? Stop by Kapolei this weekend for a pop-up event that has it all, and get a head start on mom’s gift. Celeb designer Kini Zamora will be there for fashionista moms who wouldn’t mind a wardrobe update. There will also be cosmetics by Younique (what lady doesn’t love a fresh mascara now and then?) and Chat’s Sweets, toting the surefire way to any woman’s heart: cupcakes.
When: Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Where: 91-224 Puanohu Place
Details: Call 520-1415 for more information.

Amazing Graceful

In fact, the troupe, which is known for elaborate costumes and sets, will be adding digital elements such as LED screens for a truly next-level experience.
When: Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 10 at 4 p.m.
Where: Hawai‘i Theatre Center
Details: Tickets are $35–$65 at iona360.com.
