Not to take a sound bite out of you, but we’ve got a mute point to bring up regarding the ultra-toned-down wardrobe you’ve been rocking lately. We love a minimal outfit as much as the next guy, but, personally, week after week after week of living the quiet life makes us want to turn our look up to 11. Just saying.
Whaddya say you get loud and proud yourself with a collab that’s going to really make some noise? Roberta Oaks and the Barrio Vintage guys have teamed up for an ideal-for-summer set of frolicwear that includes shirts for men and women, on-point matching sets and way trendy jumpsuits. The Psychedelic Swell collection combines her alohawear expertise with their wisdom in all things vintage, resulting in a perfectly brash and sassy selection of items that flash back to the golden ’60s and ’70s.
The textiles are curated vintage gems from Barrio’s archives and sport electric color combos and exotic, tropical prints. Put into action on tailored, contemporary-cut aloha shirts and sweet sundresses, these go-to alohawear silhouettes are a distinct infusion of old-Hawai‘i energy and good Island vibes.
Think a vivid blue, strapless, mini dress splashed with green and blue flora and sporting just the right amount of flare. Or, guys can get excited about a groovy printed button-down with hot orange and pink florals and contrasting checkered pocket and collar details that are just too precious. And, because these fabrics are limited finds, each piece is one-of-a-kind and totally unique.
Buh-bye, quiet desperation. Hello, tight noise.
