All-Nighter
What: Check out “While You Were Sleeping (the city was awake)” – the new exhibit of nightlife photography and video by blogger and columnist Christa “Super CW” Wittmier, thirtyninehotel’s Grady Gillian, The Drop Shadows’ Joseph Pa‘ahana, Honozooloo’s Aaron Yoshino and musician Alex Delapena. Curated by museum employee, arts promoter and Black Square frontman Joshua “Josh86” Hancock.
When: Exhibit runs through Wednesday, June 30. Café open Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday 12 to 2:30 p.m.

Hip-Hop To It
What: Hit up APEX 2010, a hip-hop showcase that includes B-boy, MC and blackbook battles, live art, musical performances, a silent auction and free makeovers. Auction proceeds benefit the Mighty4 Arts Foundation Hawaii.

Get Up, Stand Up
What: Join stand-up paddling water warriors at Battle of the Paddle Hawai‘i, a weekend-long festival celebrating the sport. The activities will include races, demos, a poolside screening of Blue Crush and an autograph session with surf icon Gerry Lopez and Roxy team riders.
When: Festival, Saturday and Sunday. Autograph session, 6:30 p.m. and movie, 8 pm, Saturday

Drama-rama
What: Get a little history and a high dose of drama with the theatrical version of The Hilo Massacre. Based on the violent reaction to labor union workers’ peaceful demonstration on Big Island in 1938, this theatrical debut fuses historical events with stories from the workers, police and politicians of the time.
When: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Through Sunday June 20.

Not-So-Lazy Sunday
What: Relax, rejuvenate and do a little good at Yoga Sangha Sunday with Lululemon Athletica. The proceeds from this beachside all-levels yoga class benefit a different local charity each month.
