Raising Te Bar
There’s a new place to sip in the city. SoHo Mixed Media Bar has concocted a recipe to mix up your weekend routine:
Ingredients:
• Two main rooms with a lounge-y vibe that double as art galleries, plus one upstairs VIP area
• Equal measures of a clothing swap and shopping session with a fashion show twist from Rock Shop
• A shot of live mural painting by the GroundUp Pirates
• Splash of an ultra-sweet, tonight-only $10 hosted bar with all-you-can-drink cocktails from Grey Goose, Bacardi and Red Bull, plus complimentary pupu
Directions:
1. Combine it all in a newly renovated Chinatown space
2. Add in a bar tended by owner and former LOFT manager Daniel Gray
3. Shake it up with a soundtrack from DJs Nocturnal Sound Krew
4. Garnish with dedication to cultivating the local art scene with rotating exhibits
5. Chill for a few hours and enjoy with friends
Soho Mixed Media Bar opens tonight, 80 South Pauahi Street, Honolulu. For more info, call 808.688.8813 or check www.sohohi.com. Doors open at 3 p.m. for Rock Shop sale and swap until 8 p.m. After 8 p.m., it’s 21 and over, and $10 entry for access to the free bar and pupu spread.
