Guava Shop’s New Line and Location
Find hot colors and flowy shapes in Guava’s new Pon Pon line.
You’ve been hunting for a new beach look for seasons, but, so far, you’ve gathered up nothing but bad apples. Time to snag something sweet and get this sour taste out of your mouth.
Take a bite out of Guava Shop, beach-chic headquarters for North Shore fashionistas and road-tripping townies alike. Whether you’re snagging a snazzy beach blanket or snapping up a sassy two-piece en route to the shore, this tasty boutique from owners Kai Cost and Liz Lerner has got you covered. And now that the gals have branched out from the corner location they opened in 2008, it’s even easier to pick some of the store’s stylish fruits. We’re talking a locale that’s right off the road in the brand-swanking-new Hale‘iwa Store Lots near the iconic Matsumoto Shave Ice, so you’ll be ogling those cute little clutches and kaftans in the window every time you drive down Kamehameha Highway.
Because these ladies want to have a really juicy opening, they’ve joined forces with local designers to whip up some exclusive-to-Guava collabs that are downright delicious (we are loving that gorgeous monochrome palm pouch from the ubiquitous Samudra brand). You’ll find other favorites such as Avalon clutches, CSmith jewelry and Baggu bags as well.
What’s really got us sweet on this ripe Guava is the launch of the team’s very own label, Pon Pon. It’s got everything you need to pack your basket for the beach, including breezy tunics for throwing over bikinis, roomy totes (those poke bowls aren’t going to carry themselves) and perfect jumpsuits that can take you from store to shore without missing a chic beat. The cherry on top of it all? These pieces come in vibrant shades for which Guava-lovers are sure to go bananas, such as vivid chartreuse, sizzling hot pink and balmy blue in a gorgeous, kaleidoscopic shibori pattern.
Looking cute is going to be a piece of fruit cake.
