The spring forecast for fashion: buckle up for a long season of belt tightening.

 Designer Alfonsina Ladogana’s collection of sash belts has expanded to include sandal styles this season, like a lace-up gladiator and a two-tone pump, plus fresh twists on dress-up slippers. But the belts are the hides to seek. There are new skinny double- and triple-buckle styles, wide wrap-arounds with bow-tie fronts or chunky wood buckles, and even metallic belts with chain accents.

Add one on to your pencil skirts, maxi dresses, even over tunic-length T-shirts, and you’ve a got a whole new look that’s a cinch.
