Shop Toast’s New Totes and Pouches
These jet-setting designs went from Hawai‘i to Japan and back again.
Be honest: You totally carry your heart on your sleeve. You love a band? You own its T-shirt. Obsessed with a cartoon? (Hey, they make cartoons for grownups, OK?) You bought the keychain. Can’t get enough of a movie character? Consider your Halloween costume set.
Which is why we’re wondering why you’ve been so lax on repping one of your greatest loves: your Hawaiian home! We’re all about showing a little aloha, and what better way to do that than toting along some sweet Island flair? We’re longtime fans of Shop Toast’s cute favors and charming trinkets inspired by local culture, but owner Jeremy Shoda recently released a rustic-chic line of jute and canvas bags that takes it to a whole new accessorizing level. And, trust us: These are cute little finds you’ll want to hang on to.
Think “aloha” spelled out in cheery script over an ocean-blue ombre tote, or an all-over print of pineapples spicing up a pouch. Shoda’s all about showing off the Island spirit and celebrating Hawai‘i memories in his products, which make them a big hit with locals and visitors alike. In fact, these stylish accessories were debuted in Japan first and are only hitting our streets now, in a range of colors Shoda hopes to expand. Clutch pouches in rustic, on-trend jute come in sleek slate, deep blue, bright orange and pretty teal, while his canvas pouch and roomy canvas-and-leather tote are available in a serene blue dip dye.
Looks like you’ve got your love of the Islands in the bag. Carry on.
