From your loving pooch:

I'm not trying to hound you. Really. But when we get all dressed pup, those frilly numbers you squeeze me into are kind of a Fi-don't.

Be a dear and fetch me some Puppy Love Hawaii instead. Owner Tracy Shigemura sews her own... Read more »

Chow Hound

Lei Chic Dog: Bartender, get me a frisky sour, double, and keep 'em coming.

Bartender: You seem a little spot under the collar. What's wrong?

Dog: It's my owner. Things have been a little ruff lately, especially when it comes to meals. I know she means well, but the kibble she gives me is just so dry and tasteless. We're totally stuck in a mutt.

Bartender: Tell her to call Island Dog Deli. Owner Maria Robson-Watanabe began making her own pet food when her two... Read more »

Wag Bags

Lei Chic Collie: Hey, are you still in the doghouse?

Dachsund: Yep. I still don’t know why she got so unleashed over my little snack. She said it was a Jimmy Chew!

Collie: That bites. Sounds like you’re not doing so hot, dog.

Dachsund: I sure could use some puppy love.

Collie: Furget about it. Grab her a gift from Wag Apparel - a line with chic silhouettes of our favorite four-legged friends.

Pick the outline of your favorite pup and an adorable print, then sit and stay. Creator Carol... Read more »

Something to Bark About

Lei Chic The day was packed with the usual activities.

6:15 a.m. – Garbage truck wakes you up. Run downstairs to protest loudly.
10:43 a.m. – Curl up for a nap.
1:30 – Zone out, mesmerized by a flock of birds outside.
4:07 p.m. – A drink and a few laps around the kitchen followed by a 15-minute grooming session.

By 5 p.m. you’d jump at the chance for a jog, a trip to the park, or even a nice drive that lets you feel... Read more »

Chews Wisely

www.leichic.com Nothing passes your lips that isn’t fresh and healthy – you’ve dabbled in macrobiotics, perfected a delicious kale dish, and you (try to) stick to sugar-free desserts.

So when it comes to your canine’s cuisine, why are you feeding him low-grade canned junk that could make him one sick puppy?

Your hound deserves healthy, wholesome ingredients just as... Read more »

A Dog Do Bio Bags

www.leichic.com We’re not prudes or anything. We just think that there are still some things better left unsaid. Kept to yourself. Private domain. Mum’s the word. Okay, you get the drift. But that’s also going to make this really difficult.

Because certain private affairs so often become public. Like when people leave their dog’s business right on their neighbor’s lawn for everyone to see (and smell). That’s not kosher (and in some places it’s illegal), but even if you scooped it up into an old plastic grocery bag, dropped it in the bin and sent it off anonymously to the landfill – well... Hairy Days Are Here Again: Spa Dogs

www.leichic.com There just aren’t enough hours in the day – especially when half of them are spent sitting in traffic. Crawling down a backed-up H-1 lane behind a tourist with nowhere to go while your errand time melts away no longer makes you mad – just dog tired.

So take back some lost hours by doing one important errand right at home.

Hair of the Dog Mobile’s fully-contained mobile dog grooming spa will clean up and pamper your pooch right at your doorstep. They’ve got the same amenities found in stationary grooming shops, but owner David Nunimaker (former... Read more »
