Surf Gala-rie
What: The Green Room, a new urban surf-inspired art gallery, opens in Waikiki. Opening night gala events include free pupus, music by local singer-songwriter David Tamaoka and local indie rock band Linus, plus art demos and signings by Heather Brown, Clark Little and Sho Watanabe.
When: Friday, 5 to 11 p.m.
Where: 2350 Kalakaua Ave., Waikiki.

Cabaret in Wonderland
What: Alice in Wonderland takes a naughty twist in VarieTease: Alice in Chinatown, a burlesque show by the Cherry Blossom Cabaret. Watch Alice chase the White Rabbit to local haunts like 39 Hotel, Mercury Bar and SoHo.
When: Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Where: The ARTS at Marks Garage, 1159 Nu‘uanu Ave., Chinatown

What: BOGO free on a meal at Stage restaurant to celebrate the eatery’s third birthday.

Make Them LOL
What: You can laugh or be laughed at during the stand-up open mic night at Laughtrack Theater. Featuring new talent and local comedy celebs.

Pimp Your Ride
What: Get biking gear for steals and deals at the annual Island Triathalon & Bike Swap Meet. A percentage of the earnings benefits the Kamehameha Schools triathalon club.
