The Hitt List: My Weekend Picks 6/26

The Hitt List: My Weekend Picks 6/26

Themes seem to be the mantra for this weekend’s events. So, you’d better start shopping now, because two involve colored attire.

Start off your Friday with Art After Dark and the Moon Over Honolulu. Hawaii is the theme this month, with artwork covering the 50 years of statehood in the central courtyard, while photographs of present-day Hawaii grace the Kinau courtyard. A Hawaiian chant will open the doors, followed by hula and Guy Cruz.  Friday, 6-9 p.m., Honolulu Academy of Arts, 900 South Beretania St.

Hawaii Pacific Entertainment, Flipside & Kurious present Divine this Friday night at the Honolulu Design Center. It will be a black and white event and you’ll get in free between 9-10:30 p.m., if you dress the part.  The great thing is that this event will encompass all four rooms: Amuse Wine Bar, Cupola, Ice Bar and Stage.  If you haven’t visited the Honolulu Design Center yet, then this would be a great time to check it out. Friday, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., dress code, valet parking. 1250 Kapiolani Blvd.

Also happening Friday night is F&M’s White Party at the Lotus Hotel, formerly the W Hotel.  Rules will be strict at this party, so make sure to wear all white, or risk getting turned away!  (Believe me, I’ve seen it.) Colored accessories are okay, so liven up your white attire with different colored belts, shoes, hats, bags or gloves.  There will also be live body painting, F&M dancers and special guest DJ Graham Funke, fresh off the plane from Las Vegas. Friday, 9-2 a.m., $20 cover before 11 p.m., $10 guest list, guestlist@flashandmattyboy.com. Ladies, show your White Party stamp at Level 4 for free entry to after party.

Hush Nightclub will play host to Passport this Friday night with three DJs, two go-go dancers and a whole new look.  Saturday night, Hush presents a posh and sexy L.A. vibe with LAX. At this new event, there will be five DJs playing Top 40, hip-hop, house, trance and '80s.  10 p.m. to 4 a.m., 444 Niu St., validated parking.

To continue this themed weekend, Pearl will once again host Beautiful, with this night’s theme being Seven Beautiful Sins, hosted by fashion photographer, Russell Tanoue. Expect a dressed-up Pearl with many pretty faces in the crowd.  Saturday, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., fashionable attire only. Pearl Ultralounge, 3rd Floor Hookipa Terrace, Ala Moana Center, (808) 944-8000.
