From the classroom to the field, Word of Life Academy students excel in the highly competitive Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) sports program. The “Firebrands” have taken home numerous Championships and Athlete of the Year Awards. Known for their sportsmanship on and off the field, WOLA athletes are trailblazers, following in the footsteps of Athletic Director Joe Onosai. Most recently, the ILH approved for the Firebrands to have a varsity football team – the first time in over 30 years that a new varsity football team has been added to the ILH.
