On August 28, 1967, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School opened its doors to provide the best quality Catholic education by “Educating for Life.” This year, the Ewa Beach, Oahu K-8 school celebrates 40 years of success. With Jesus and dedicated faculty and staff as role models, the school continues to promote its mission, in partnership with the parents, “to educate students to be active Catholics, responsive producers, holistic learners, and capable communicators.” The faculty and staff are committed to developing the whole student for life through academics, moral values, religious instructions, and the Gospel.
A variety of academic and extracurricular activities encourage student interest and development. Featuring technology, music, art, Spanish and more, the school also offers volleyball, basketball and track & field programs in sports and involves students in service projects to give back to the community. To celebrate 40 years of dedication, the school community joins together for many wonderful and exciting events. Highlights of the anniversary events include: OLPH School’s 40th Anniversary Celebration held on August 28th with liturgy, entertainment, food, and fun; the Special 40th Anniversary Celebration on September 21, 2007 at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort; and the Sisters of St. Francis 125th Anniversary (November 8, 1883-November 8, 2008).
