Opportunity is the distinguishing hallmark of the HPA Ex-perience. Students at HPA have opportunities to participate in a range of “big school” programs in a small school setting, while meeting and making lifelong friendships with peers from around the world. HPAs marine science program, in collaboration with NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service, Pacific Islands Fisher-ies Science Center, offers unrivaled encounters with Hawaii Island’s remarkable ocean environment. HPA’s partnerships with renowned high-tech neighbors, such as the Mauna Loa Observatory, enable students to participate in real-world, cutting edge research.

There is a special synergy at HPA, as a place where students and teachers from around the world converge to work toward common goals and reach for unlimited levels of excellence and fulfillment.
