Amid the natural beauty of Alewa Heights, students at this small, co-ed, 6-12 independent school can learn at their own pace in a safe, nurturing academic environment. The Academy redefines small classes with students grouped by skills and interest in classes held in individual cottages on the park-like grounds.
“Our excellent program, including Advanced Placement and honors classes, prepares students for a college of their choice,” says its Head of School Mollie Sperry. “Our dedicated teachers value the uniqueness of every child and want to see that child succeed.”
Fully accredited, the Academy enhances its core academics with diverse and engaging electives -- drama, physical education, computer, digital photography, video production, art, human relations, and modern languages -- to help students develop into well-rounded, confident and responsible young adults. Students also have ample opportunities to initiate environmental and community outreach and participate in a full range of ILH sports.
