Kaka‘ako is bustling with development, and sales centers for the next few condos will open to the market for the first time this weekend. On Sunday, Sept. 28 from 12 to 5 p.m., you can get a first look at Castle and Cooke’s 400 Keawe, The MacNaughton Group & Kobayashi Group’s VIDA at 888 Ala Moana, and Stanford Carr’s Keauhou Place projects. You can also take a look at Six Eighty Ala Moana by Kamehameha Schools, and The Collection, of Alexander & Baldwin Properties Inc.

The open house tour starts at Our Kaka‘ako Information Center, 660 Ala Moana Blvd.; free parking is available at 555 South St.

While on the tour, you can:

  • Visit guest developer sales centers to get pricing, availability and floor plans.

  • Check out guided neighborhood tours, maps and models.

  • Learn more about rental opportunities.

  • Shop and eat at neighborhood merchants.

  • View and interact with a custom-made, hand-built Lego model of the district.

  • Attend first-time home buyers workshops at Kaka‘ako Agora, Hawai‘i’s first indoor park.

  • View locally-created art by PRESENT Project on Cooke Street.

  • Grab a drink at a pop-up sports bar at Urban 808.

This special one-time only event will give home seekers a unique opportunity to see the future of the Our Kaka‘ako community, a vision by Kamehameha Schools that is transforming nine city blocks of Kaka‘ako into an urban residential and mixed-use neighborhood.  In addition, this district-wide open house will feature the wide range of housing opportunities (condos, townhomes, lofts) available in the area.
