Open house pick of the week: Salt Lake

We’re always looking for a good value, and this condo unit—listed just a day ago and open this Sunday—seems to fit the bill. According to realtor Dan Ihara, it’s the lowest-priced unit of its kind in the area. (Click here for details.)

“It’s priced better than most two bedroom, two bath units because it’s in an older building,” Ihara explains. “Most others are in the $420,000 to $480,000 range. But it’s been renovated, so it looks brand new.”

Indeed, the 927-square-foot interior is very bright, with new counter tops, soft-close kitchen cabinets, laminate wood flooring, and tile flooring.

Ihara adds that units in this building, known as “The Chandelier,” are rarely available because the neighbors are primarily owner-occupants. In the last five years, only four or five units have sold there due to low turnover.

This particular listing is a corner unit with a very open floor plan, so the air flow is better than the others. It also comes with two parking spaces, which is a big premium in condos. The catch? The building is not pet-friendly, so don’t bring Poochie. Other than that, this is one to take a look at this weekend.

Happy house hunting!
