New luxury condos for Hawaii Kai

The newest residential project for East Honolulu broke ground yesterday, starting a $350 million endeavor that will also create 350 construction jobs. Hale Ka Lae, slated to be a luxury condominium development, sits on a three-acre parcel of land that will house 242 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from from 980 to 3,065 square feet. Prices range from $700,000 to $3.8 million.

Hale Ka Lae, meaning 'house at the point' in Hawaiian, is located on the point at 7000 Hawaii Kai Drive, at the bottom of the ridge between Hahaione Valley and Kamilonui Valley.

Each luxury condo unit will be outfitted with designer finishes and top-of-the-line, stainless-steel Miele appliances that include fully-integrated wine coolers, steam ovens and built-in coffee systems. The property will feature unique amenities such as a lagoon-style and activity pool, a fitness center with sauna, an indoor golf simulator, surfboard storage, barbeque pavilions, a private dining and club room, and a private movie theater.

"As a developer, it's our duty to build for the future, while also maintaining what is most important from our past - which is why we've made it our priority to work with the community to preserve five acres of land adjacent to Hale Ka Lae that is rich with Hawaiian history and culture," says Hale Ka Lae LLC's Chief Operating Officer Michael Greco. The park will be conveyed to the community by Hale Ka Lae through The Trust for Public Land, ensuring the protection of valuable cultural and natural resources for future generations to enjoy.

Hale Ka Lae is expected to finish construction at the end of 2013.

The Hale Ka Lae sales office is located at 6700 Kalanianaole Hwy., suite 122, and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the website at www.HaleKaLae.com.
