Open house pick of the week: Makiki

If you like spending time out on your lanai, take a look at this two-bedroom, two-bath corner condo at Wilder Tower in Makiki, having its first open house on Sunday.

The wraparound lanais, which take up 492 square feet of space, offer expansive views of the mountains and city—a perfect place to sip a glass of wine at the end of a long week.

“Even though it’s on the mountain side, you can still see the ocean,” says realtor Amy Ayako Wong of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties.

The 938-square-foot unit features a bright, open-design kitchen with lots of cabinet space, along with an airy feel throughout the living/dining area due to all the windows.

The owners, who are retired and live in California, used this place solely as a vacation home. They never rented it out and visited just once or twice a year, so it’s in great condition.

Both bedrooms boast jalousie windows to let in the trade winds, but there’s an A/C wall unit in each for those hot summer days. The second bedroom can double as an office or study if you happen to work at home.

There are only two homes on each of the building’s 23 floors, affording extra privacy.

Fuzz factor: Pets are allowed, but you’d better keep Sparky trim, there’s a 25-pound weight limit.

The unit comes with extra storage space and two parking stalls—one covered and one open. There are three stalls available for guest parking.

This condo will be open for viewing on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Click here for details.

Money talk: $498,000 fee simple
