I was at a sunset open house for this Imperial Plaza penthouse recently and—as I was gawking at the spaciousness—someone remarked that, for the same price, one could get a luxury home somewhere. It never occurred to me to compare it to a single-family home, since I’m one of those people who probably would never want to maintain a yard or deal with other exterior worries.
So, for those who are like me and want maintenance and security taken care of, this listing is for you. It’s a rarely available split-level condo, with 3,853 square feet of living area and another 225 square feet of lānai area.
There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms; two of the bedrooms are master bedrooms, since they are the same size and both have large, upgraded modern bathrooms with ... interesting showers (I won’t spoil the surprise for when you see it).
The second story overlooks part of the open living/kitchen area downstairs, which makes it fun for entertaining. Upstairs, the bar area is flanked by two outdoor lānai so you can take in 180-degree views of Diamond Head, the city, ocean and Ko‘olau mountains.
The unit includes lots of storage and three parking spaces, and features floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Happy house hunting!
