It’s easy to get jaded when driving around Kahala, looking at the many luxury homes. This new listing on Onaha Street, however, has great bones and a beautiful open layout that sets it apart from the McMansions around it.
The home was built in 1956, but all that remains from the original construction is basically the foundation. The owners added more foundation to make the home larger—so, legally, it’s called a remodel, but actually, it’s a newly constructed home.
The custom tropical retreat was designed by architect Peter Vincent; the contemporary design was chosen with the specific intent of a smaller footprint offering maximum comfort while evoking the ambiance of traditional Island living in a Kahala residence.

All cabinets and the Fleetwood door/window systems throughout the home are custom-made, as well.
