In this market, it is pretty hard to find decent single-family homes in Hawai‘i Kai under $1 million. This week’s open-house pick is one of them; as of this writing, there are only four “active” single-family homes on the market in Hawai‘i Kai.
On top of that, this home has had the same owners since 1986. Hey, that’s a long time nowadays.
The four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath bath home is pretty spacious, with 1,882 square feet of living area spanning two stories. In fact, two of the bedrooms are master suites, of which one is located downstairs so you can use it as an office or a bedroom for the grandparents.
In addition to the master suite downstairs, the ground floor features a very open floor plan with a spacious family room.
One of the best things about the 6,125-square-foot property is its backyard and poolside cabana, which is surrounded by a lot of trees and tropical landscaping to create a private, Island-style sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of town. Since there’s no direct neighbor in back, you get an added sense of privacy.
You also keep your electric bill to a minimum each month, since the 21-panel PV system with solar water heater keeps the home very energy efficient.
This new listing will be open on Sunday, Jan. 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. (Disclosure: It is blogger Jaymes Song’s listing.) Click here for details.
