Stunning views from Hawaii Loa Ridge

Photos courtesy of Westwood Properties

There are many nice homes on Hawaii Loa Ridge, but this one—listed just three days ago—is definitely different. (Click here for details.)

The listing is a perimeter lot fronting preservation land in a sheltered location, with preferred views of Diamond Head, the ocean, and mountains. The five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home is 4,870 square feet comprising two levels, and the lot is a spacious 10,910 square feet.

The yard looks a bit like a park, with flower beds on multiple levels throughout the property and fruit trees including avocado, mango, orange, tangerine, lime, chico, banana, guava, papaya and star fruit. It's rare to find so many fruit trees (seriously, how many people even own a chico tree?) on a property that’s not in a rural area, so I hope the new owners keep them.

The residence has a flowing interior with unique architectural details throughout, especially the spacious living room, which also has high ceilings to make it look even larger than it is. The elevator and the media room are a nice touch, as well.

The open kitchen features top-of-the-line Poggenpohl cabinetry, granite countertops and new Thermador appliances. The wet bar is adjacent to kitchen with built-in seating, which makes it great for entertaining. There’s also a built-in dining nook area with granite tabletop and granite seating.

If you’re entertaining, there is a three-car garage and a huge driveway to accommodate guest cars, as well as on-street parking.

Money talk: $3,499,500 fee simple
