Open House pick of the week: Puunui

Puunui is one of those very old, established neighborhoods where families live for decades and homes are passed from one generation to the next. As such, it’s rare to find a home for sale in the area, much less one that’s less than 20 years old.

This new listing, located on Namauu Dr. (click here for details), is having its first open this Sunday. You’ll find it off the main drag, although it’s walking distance to Puunui Park and even Maemae Elementary School (depending on how much you like to walk).

Built in 2003, it’s very spacious with an open floor plan, plus three bedrooms and two bathrooms under 1,619 square feet.

The island-style, contemporary kitchen has a nice amount of counter space, especially the part that separates it from the living room; this surface is wide enough to double as a kitchen/dining tabletop.

Since the property is 4,795 square feet, the yard is quite large—as is the driveway and parking.

Happy house hunting!

Money talk: $969,000 fee simple
