Open house pick of the week: Manoa

About a year ago, when I first started blogging here, one of the first houses I visited was this home at 2723 Puuhonua St. I meant to write about it then, because it has such an interesting layout, but got distracted by other properties and assumed it had sold.

Well, the listing has been refreshed and it’s open this weekend. If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to take a look—if nothing else, to see how the home’s tiers make nice use of space from top to bottom and out to the yard below.

The property is 6,060 square feet and the two-story residence is 3,270 square feet. The photos make it seem more vertical, but once inside, you can see how spacious and wide it is.

The five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence was built in 1927, but was renovated in 2008 with contemporary touches. Some of the updated features include a sophisticated new kitchen with granite counters and eat-in island, a formal dining room, high ceilings with crown moldings and a spacious covered deck for entertaining.

Due to its location on the hillside, you get Diamond Head and ocean views. (Click here for more details.)

Happy house hunting!
